Another entry...but an educative one for those wanting to travel...

Ok I'm on a blog roll for some weird reason, so bear with me...Nanti I MIA again, you'll miss me, haha (I can clearly hear, 'owh pliss')...

So harini aper nk citer eh...owh since i'm still excited with travelling plan but i can't say anything yet sampai its finalised, I feel like talking about travel plus this sunday ader Travel Expo again menyebabkan I teringat about my Europe trip...So I'll story-mory about my last Euro trip Summer 07/08 (yes kami summer end of the year)...


Ok I've been eyeing the Round-the-world ticket since ages but everytime I plan the route it is always too expensive...So one fine day, in Feb 2007, we (saye dan fiancee) went to Flight Centre Travel Expo...Initially the plan was just to browse around...Then at the MAS booth we saw this deal to Europe less than NZ2000 with a stop over in Malaysia, which is really great since we want to go home as well..The deal is really cheap since NZ-Malaysia is about NZ1500, so with an additional NZ500, we get to go to europe...Thus, right there and then we decided to go but we didn't wanna go just the two of us...it will be fun and more exciting if we go in a group...


So we decided to tell all of our friends asking who would want to come...Initially there 4 of our friends who were keen but finally only Ami and Aini whom decided to tag along (sian fiancee, the only guy)


The ticket only allows travel period of a maximum of 3 months, so we were playing with the dates to see how many days we can be travelling without going broke...Budget wise, we could travel for 3 weeks but after consulting the travel agent, we can only either travel for 18 days or 33 days...So kenela amik yg 18 days sahaja and fit what we can in that time period...Fiancee and I didn't want to stay few days in Malaysia on the way, we just wanted to transit a few hours in KLIA and fly straight to London but the girls wanted tog o home first then meet up in Barcelona...(poyo jer ayat 'we'll just meet up in Barcelona jer k, haha')


So, we decided on this,

So we had to decide on how to fit as much as the cities that we wanted to go in 18 days, and its a real challenge...the route changes so many times and finally we reach a decision after fitting in the transportation cost (train+cheap flights) and travel periods...the route was

London-Barcelona-Nice-Milan-Athens-Rome-Pisa-Florence-Venice-Innsbruck-Zurich-Frankfurt-Brussels-Amsterdam-Paris-London

Transportation wise, we chose both flights and rails...those mark with red are journey with flights and the blue are journey with the train...It does look giler serabut but it actually turns really2 good...bought cheap flight online from easyjet and ryanair whereas for the train, we bought eurail pass for 18 countries...


So onced the flight was confirmed and we received train schedule, we form the detailed itinerary, as below...its like super crowded bit it works really good as we never even had any missed flight/train (thats is everyday we rechecked the time for departure)...giler packed kan but its soo worth it...

Then, accomodation...we booked everything online and paid deposits...some require full payment but mostly just deposits...senang dh booked since at least we know we have a place to stay and we can do a budget on how much money to brings...so the overall budget were as below...

I think we planned the trip really thorough, which is good because we wanted to just enjoyed once we're there, which we did...
